Curved tiling in progress - sill tiles on top form external conture and face tiles laid to suit. This project is very challenging and most Apprentices say it's the most enjoyable in job satisfaction.
Each student builds his own wall and renders it as required and then tiled. All is demolished by the student after their assessment. How do Construction Apprenticeships work in Sweeden? What is the duration? Kind regards Enzo
The high school program is three years, and about half of that is job-site experience. If the students do well, and earn credit (measured in experience-hours) towards their professional log-books, then they will have about three years of work remaining before they are fully-paid tradespeople. So when they are done at school, hopefully they get a job, and depending on their number of hours worked, they earn according to steps from 50% up to full-paid after 3 years. How does it work in Australia??
In Australia Apprenticeships are 3-4 years depending on initial agreement between employer and Apprentice. However, It may vary during the course of the Apprenticeship based on ability or lack of ability and development. Some students may be fast tracked if progressing very well and in some cases the term may be extended if deemed necessary. During the Apprenticeship the students work full time with an employer and attend College for off the job training. They normally do 7 weeks in stage 1, 7 weeks in stage 2 and 5 weeks in stage 3.
This work is carried out by our tiling students at the end of their 3-4 year Apprenticeship training.Curved tiling work is common on up market projects and housing. Kind regards Enzo

This seems a difficult job. How far have the students reached in their progress, are they in their final stage of competenced development?
