Students are working with their teachers (Mr Guest & Mr Mitchell) on real projects. Collaborating with local business, enables students to get a sense of the quality and expectations of a real client. All students at the College have access to a laptop, and theory work & tasks are available via a Learning Management System.
Ass I can see they have a very good connection to a reality, how are theirs job possibilities?
ReplyDeleteWhere would you say that the work market is for these studetent, are they becoming carpenters doing woodwork in new flats and the interial in family houses or would they work on big building sites doing all kinds of work in the construction?

Thanks for your questions Edina and Ingemar. Students will graduate with a low level Certification on Construction, however, it does give them a head start in the construction industry. From school students can continue with an apprenticeship and study at TAFE (gov owned vocational training colleges) in construction or furniture making. Some of our previous students are now working on big building sites and in carpentry.
